Urbanists are trying to figure out how to draw people back out into public space. I never imagined that casinos would also have this problem.
(I hate gambling, and yet have worked on some casino designs. The companies would come in with floor plan layouts that we would pop in, configured on the best predatory practices they had studied in depth.)
Part of this discussion sounds similar to free-to-play video games. I tried to have a video game account deleted. And the company made that difficult. So, I dropped a couple of f-bombs on the forum and got my account banned that way. I think most people would be anxious about ruining their reputation. But, I think it is more important to have your wishes respected. This was just a tactic to deal with unscrupulous people.
Separate comment, it's just pathetic how cities and states think that this is their solution - indebting people and creating an addiction - to balancing the budget.
