Specifically, guaranteed contracts, and even more specific, for high value players like quarterbacks.

Other major sports leagues, no matter which ones you choose to fit the description, have some guaranteed contracts, yet incredibly one of the oldest, most profitable, and supremely popular leagues in America has managed to avoid them for decades. We discuss how this ever could possibly have happened (wink, wink). They also discuss how this is but a single data point in the rampant infection of corruption throughout US society.
